Jennifer Briest, Clinical Social Worker Joins CCM Health’s Behavioral Health Team!

CCM Health is excited to welcome Jennifer Briest, MSW, LICSW, LADC. Jennifer is a clinical social worker who joins CCM Health’s Behavioral Health team of clinical psychologist, June Meyerhoff, PsyD, LP, and Mackenzie Snortum, APRN, PMHNP, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Jennifer is a licensed independent clinical social worker, licensed alcohol and drug counselor, certified gambling disorder counselor, and an advanced Accelerated Resolution Therapy provider and has been working in the behavioral health field since 2011. Prior to joining CCM Health, Jennifer was a mental health professional/outpatient therapist at Western Mental Health Centers in Marshall, Granite Falls, and Canby, MN. In addition, she was a clinical supervisor and served as the director of Western Mental Health Centers’ outpatient substance use disorder treatment program.

When Jennifer’s children were young, she served as a therapeutic foster parent. During that time, she worked closely with and relied on the support of several amazing professionals in the mental health field. This experience inspired her to pursue a degree in clinical social work, addiction counseling, and trauma-focused care.

Jennifer is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is an eye movement-based therapy that is most used to treat issues related to trauma, abuse, relationship distress, grief and loss, addiction, depression, anxiety, and phobias.

Jennifer was previously an English/Spanish teacher and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua. Jennifer and her family have resided locally in the area since 2005 and enjoy DIY construction and renovation projects, disc golf, interior design, boating, traveling, attending rock concerts, and spending time at their lake cabin.
