Kate Fitzkappes Joins CCM Health Behavioral Health Team
CCM Health is excited to welcome its newest clinical social worker, Kate Fitzkappes, MSW, LICSW to their Behavioral Health team! Kate received her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from St. Cloud State University and her Master of Social Work from Minnesota State University—Mankato. Ms. Fitzkappes is a licensed, independent social worker and is board certified by the National Association of Social Work.
Kate’s social work career started in 2002 serving children and families in the foster care and adoption process. Since that time, Kate has worked in multiple social work roles, including financial aid, advocacy, and community-based mental health. The primary focus of her work has been serving to restore and strengthen family and community relationships to repair children’s social and emotional development. Kate utilizes a multicultural, developmentally based, and relationship-focused framework. Her practice has an emphasis on attachment theory and trauma informed interventions. Kate is trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP).
Kate enjoys outdoor activities and spending time cooking and playing with her family.
Kate Fitzkappes will see patients in CCM Health’s Clinic in Montevideo, Minnesota. Kate joins CCM Health’s Behavioral Health team alongside June Meyerhoff, PsyD, LP, Clinical Psychologist and Jennifer Briest, MSW, LICSW, LADC, Clinical Social Worker.
