CCM Health Boosts Cardiac Rehabilitation with Cutting-Edge GE Healthcare Equipment and Training
CCM Health is excited to announce the addition of the CASE Cardiac Assessment System for Exercise Testing in its Cardiac Rehabilitation Services department. This state-of-the-art system was purchased to serve as an important component in CCM Health’s cardiac rehabilitation stress testing procedures.
One of the key reasons for choosing the GE Healthcare cardiac stress test machine was the innovation to help ensure optimal EKG readings. The new system boasts compatibility to generate both paper and electronic reports, and the option to add comments on EKG tracings. CCM Health sees this investment as an opportunity to standardize equipment across major healthcare systems in Southwest Minnesota.
The exclusive Exercise Test Interpretation (XTI) program by GE provides a groundbreaking approach, comparing patients’ exercise measurements against established benchmarks. This will aid medical providers in identifying subtle deviations, signaling the need for further evaluation or treatment, and offering recommendations for lifestyle management.
According to Nicholas Krueger, MD, Medical Director of CCM Health’s Cardiac Rehabilitation program, “This new equipment is a significant improvement for our patients. It enhances the accuracy of coronary artery disease detection and assesses the risk of sudden cardiac death and provides critical decision support data.”
The CASE system’s streamlined workflow and digital connectivity bring efficiency to patient care. With fast access to results, CCM Health can provide comprehensive views of patient diagnoses. The monitor’s adjustability, coupled with the system’s proven clinical quality, further supports operator comfort and productivity. The CCM Health Cardiac Rehabilitation team has gone through vendor training and is ready to assist patients with an even better, more detailed, cardiac testing process.
