Change the Outcome Event

Last year the Centers for Disease Control reported the most overdose deaths ever recorded in a single year in the U.S. That number will be even higher this year. Change the Outcome provides a focused learning opportunity for you to learn the important aspects of opioid use, the disease of addiction, and emerging drug trends. You will be armed with practical knowledge that can save a life, prevent substance use disorder, and actively address the opioid epidemic in simple but meaningful ways. This program includes a documentary film that tells true stories about addiction and hope, but the panel sessions are what makes those stories real, tangible, and meaningful. Substance Use Disorder (SUD) is a complex, progressive disease with physical, social and psychological components. It is treatable, but can be chronic and recurring. SUD is preventable! The event will be held at the Montevideo Community Center 550 1st Street South Montevideo, MN 56265 5:00 – 7:00pm Serving pulled pork sandwiches & chips
