Telehealth Tip Sheet (MyChart and Bluestream Health)
Telehealth Visit using MyChart
The below tips and tip sheets explain how to use MyChart’s telehealth for your telehealth visit.
Any smartphone, electronic device or computer with speakers, microphone, and a web camera can be used.’
Patient logs into their MyChart account (web or mobile app).
Patient locates and opens Video Appointment.
Patient selects the eCheck-In option. As of September 1, 2020, the eCheck-In can be started/completed 7 days before the appointment.
Within the eCheck-In window, the patient is asked to confirm Responsibility for Payment.
Next, the patient is prompted to update, add and validate insurance on file.
To advance, the patient will select NEXT.
The Payments section will display. If there is no balance due, a message will prompt them to Submit. If there is a balance due, the patient will have an opportunity to make a payment or check the Pay outstanding balances later box.
To advance, the patient will select SUBMIT.
Next, the patient will complete each section of the eCheck-in including a Travel History section. The patient will use the + ADD A TRIP button to update their travel history.
Next, the Questionnaires page will prompt the patient to complete the Communicable Disease Screening section.
This is the last step of the questionnaire and when complete, the option to SUBMIT is available.
With the eCheck-in complete, the patient will receive a thank you message.
If the patient is due to sign a yearly consent, then from within the eCheck-in steps they will be prompted to complete it.
When obtaining e-signatures a patient is required to select the appropriate relationship – Self, Legal Guardian and Other. (Emergency Departments only).
After selecting the Relationship to Patient, they will sign by using their mouse to draw out their signature.
After completing the eCheck-in and within 30 minutes of their appointment time, the patient will return to the Visits window and tap or click the Details button to open the Video Visit.
Patient will tap or click the option to start the Begin Visit.
A window will prompt the patient to Join the call. If using a mobile device, the patient will first be prompted to Open the VidyoConnect app.
If using a computer and accessing through our Website, the patient will first be asked to switch apps.
The provider will receive a notification that the patient has joined the video visit. When the provider is ready, they will join the visit and connect with the patient.
Telehealth Visit using Bluestream Health
This tip sheet explains how to use Bluestream Health telehealth application for your telehealth visit. Any smartphone,
electronic device or computer with speakers, microphone, and a web camera can be used.
Access your telehealth visit
Patients that have scheduled a telehealth appointment should look for either a text (for smartphone users) or an email (either smartphone or desktop users) shortly before their scheduled appointment. Patients should click on the link in the text or email to connect with their care team and start their appointment.
After you click the link, you may be required to agree to the consent form. Click the check box then click AGREE.
Allow Microphone and Camera
After you click agree to the consent form, you may be asked if the Bluestream Health application can access your Microphone and Camera. You must click OK or ALLOW for the provider to hear and see you.
Connect to the Visit
When connected to the visit, you will see the provider in the large window, and yourself in the smaller window. You will see buttons to control your screen, speakers, camera, and microphone on the right, with the option to end the visit at any time with the red button. You also have the option to chat with the provider at the bottom right.
